Marianne Seeland attended the Vienna School of Applied Arts in Bertold Löffler's specialist class. In the 1920s and 30s, the artist had numerous exhibitions in the Hagenbund and in the Association of Female Artists. In 1925 she exhibited together with Anton Faistauer, Franz Probst and Otto Rudolf Schatz in Otto Kallir's Neue Galerie in Vienna. Like Helene Funke, Broncia Koller and Margarethe Hamerschlag, Seeland was also a member of the Viennese Women's Art Association, where she showed, among other things, woodcuts with religious themes.
