Johanna Margarete Feigl-Zellner was an Austrian painter and illustrator. From 1922 to 1928, she was one of the first women to study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, with Alois Delug. At that time she was already an employee of the humorous weekly magazine “Die Muskete”, which was published in Vienna from 1905 to 1941. At the same time, from 1920 to 1928, she studied philosophy, art history, prehistory and mathematics at the University of Vienna. Margarete Zellner-Feigl became a middle school teacher in 1927 and was the wife of the poet and journalist Hans Feigl.
